October 2014 Loving Black - a evening length musical theatre production with dance, video, spoken word, and live music. It began with the desire to work collaboratively with other black men exploring our identity, masculinity, and human relationships.  The Fresh Works residency program at The Alloy Studio operated by the Kelly Strayhorn Theatre featured Loving Black as a work in progress in October 2014.  Using dance, spoken word and sound I structured a clear narrative of four black men loving each other despite their differences.  I have reimagined this project using multimedia, musicians, a vocalist, and new dancers to enhance the already established narrative. The next installation of this work will be presented in Feburary 2015 with BOOM Concepts, a community arts organization in Garfield, PA.
